The Katoba Story

To those it may concern:

I've thought this through long and hard on just what I would say to you all out there about what happened between with me and my breeder. I tell you my thoughts and feelings in this matter with integrity and the utmost honesty of heart and soul. A part of me wants to jump out on this page and put down every fact (my accounting) in defense of the onslaught of inaccuracies and dishonesty that were and still are being broadcasted (in public and privately) out there against me, my beloved family members, and dearest friends. This has been a quite painful and distressing experience but the details of which, I have decided will remain private. It is not my intention here to provoke any more twisted fantastic stories from Kathy Babbitt as she continues to push more suffering upon those who continue to hold her accountable for her inappropriate behaviors and decision making.

The dishonesty runs far deeper than just the Katoba Dobermans (Todd and Kathy Babbitt) vs. Skaer case and I am not her first victim to suffer her wrath. There have been several dishonest personal attacks made about and towards me, my Mom, my brother, Mike, my dearest friends, and my beloved Native American stepfather, Jimmy. She made threats to repossess Drago without any basis to do so and claims of contract violations on my part which there were none. Both of which I was prepared to defend in court I might add, if it became necessary to do so. I received hundreds of pages of disturbing and rambling, one paragraph single spaced emails (many bold faced typed and in various colors) filled with inaccurate stories upon stories containing many inconsistencies and disinformation. She could never produce the same answer twice; each time the story became more and more grandiose and embellished. I can't even stand to read her very disturbed comments anymore as they are just so sickening and distressful.

It was not in the least bit easy for me to stay the course and take this all the way to trial but I was left no choice. I could not reason with her (believe me I tried many, many times) nor let her go on and continue to hurt others. Someone had to take a stand and stop this so I made the decision to do so and here we are. I want to thank Drago, Valor, Bandit, Mom, Jim, Mike, Kathy Rambo, Colleen, and my dearest friend Elaine Hopper, for giving me love and support through these often incredibly difficult moments. Your support and my overall goal of helping others who might also be affected gave me the courage to face her when I needed it the most this past year. This fortitute of heart, mind, and soul was especially important in court where I was faced with her most unpleasant cross-examination of my testimony. I know in my heart what I did was the right thing to do.
